RUMFORD — The Maranacook Waves high school ski meet was held on Saturday on Black Mountain, with Mt. Ararat competing.
The Eagle girls finished 21st out of 26 teams with 366 points, while the Mt. Ararat boys were 22nd out of 28 squads.
Abby Mace of Maranacook won the girls overall title with a time of 16:59.6.
Scoring for Mt. Ararat were Marie Ring ( 106th place, 28:27.6), Laurel Streeter (107, 29.30), Dani Ingle (112, 30:18.8) and Sara Getchell ( 129, 35:30.2).
Portland won the girls event with 48 points, followed by Leavitt (49), Maranacook (54), Mt. Blue (87) and Oxford Hills (97).
In the boys meet, Josiah Espy of Waynflete was first in 13: 56.7. North Yarmouth Academy took the top spot with 36 points, followed by Mt. Blue (52), Mt. Abram (85), Oxford Hills ( 90) and Cape Nordic (138).
Jonah Levy was the top Mt. Ararat finisher, crossing the finish line in 19:43.2 for 90th place. Also finishing for the Eagles were Thomas Emerson ( 109, 20: 55.9), Kellen Radulski ( 136, 23: 47.5) and Nate Sprague (138, 24:07.7).
Mt. Ararat is scheduled to participate in the SASSI Memorial this upcoming Saturday.
