BRISTOL — The Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball tean won the Bristol Boosters Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
In the opening game MA defeated host Bristol, 36-16. Game MVP Cam Cox led the Eagles with eight points, while Jacob Sturgess had six, Haven Cutco six, and Jacob Steinman and Cole Guerin four each.
In the championship game all team members scored points to help with the 56-14 win over Whitefield.
Tournament MVP Cutco led the team with 14 points and was the game’s top rebounder. Kyle Brown was selected game MVP. Cox and Guerin each had eight points and Steven Gerencer six.
Strong floor games were turned in by James Hutchinson, Gage Palmer and Eagan Eldridge. Cox was also the winner of the tournament Hot Shot competition.
