BATH — Patten Free Library’s next winter gardening series program is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at the library.
Master Gardener Linton Studdiford will present “Vegetable Gardening 101.” Participants can “learn what vegetable varieties are good for beginning gardeners and which grow best in Maine,” a Patten Free Library release states. “The talk will cover topics that include when to plant hybrid and heirloom varieties, extending the growing season and sources for seeds.”
