BIDDEFORD — Alyson Roy scored 18 points, and Bryanna Michaud had 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals as Biddeford knocked off Thornton Academy 36-29 in a Southern Maine Activities Association girls’ basketball game Monday night.
Michaud made four free throws down the stretch to seal the victory. The Tigers (3-10) pulled away with a 14-6 run in the fourth quarter.
Meghan Agger paced Thornton (7-6) with 12 points.
LAKE REGION 60, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 33: Tiana-Jo Carter had 11 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots to help the Lakers (13-0) handle the Raiders (5-8) at Naples.
Kelly Winslow added 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Abby Craffey scored 13 points for Lake Region.
Maggie McConkey had 12 points and Skye Dole finished with 11 for Fryeburg.
PINE TREE ACADEMY 40, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 13: Gentille Sandy scored eight points, and Allison Verrill, Taylor Johnson and Rebecca Moore-Mysal added six apiece as the Breakers (3-6) beat the Seahawks (0-10) at Trenton.
Brianna Springer had 11 points for Acadia Christian.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 69, BOOTHBAY 60: Nathan Shink scored 22 points and pulled in 10 rebounds for the Phoenix (12-1) in a win over the Seahawks (10-3) at Livermore Falls.
The Phoenix made nine 3-pointers, including four by Shink. Spruce Mountain built its lead to as many as 18 points in the second half. Boothbay rallied to within four in the final two minutes, but 12-for-15 free-throw shooting kept Spruce Mountain on top.
James Barker added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Phoenix.
Boothbay got 21 points from Anthony DiMauro and 16 from Dickinson.
ACADIA CHRISTIAN 40, PINE TREE ACADEMY 38: Brandon Hagan scored 19 points and Adam Olearcek had 10 as the Seahawks (7-5) edged the Breakers (2-7) at Trenton.
Pine Tree got 11 points from Nathan Verrill and eight from Zach Wilday.
BOYS’ HOCKEY
LEWISTON 5, GREELY 4: Jake Bergeron scored 3:31 into overtime to lift Lewiston (7-3) over Greely (6-2-1) at the Colisee in Lewiston.
Brandon Tiner scored twice for the Blue Devils, including the tying goal 53 seconds into the third period.
Mitchel Donovan had a goal and two assists for the Rangers. Ben Hackett, Tim Storey and Kenny Richards also scored.
YORK 7, NOBLE/WELLS 2: Craig Decato and Tyson Bernard scored two goals apiece to lead the Wildcats (6-5) over the Knights at Rochester, N.H.
Bernard and Decato each had a first-period goal to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead. York pulled away with four unanswered goals in the second.
Zach Franklin, Shane Hughes and Conor Tully also scored for York.
