GORHAM — Junior Logan Russell of Bath turned in a strong performance as the University of Southern Maine Huskies wrestling team rolled to a pair of dual meet victories in their final home matches of the season Wednesday night at Hill Gymnasium.
Southern Maine defeated the Trinity College Bantams 32-18 and then cruised to a dominating 46-3 win over the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
The Huskies are 9-2.
In the Huskies’ win over Trinity, Russell earned a 3-1 decision over Evan Robinson at 157 pounds.
Against Coast Guard, Russell quickly downed junior Fred Green in 1:17.
The Huskies return to action on Sunday at the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Duals hosted by Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
