FREEPORT — The Freeport Creative Arts Creativity Conversation is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 30 at Freeport Community Center, 53 Depot St.
Steve Milligan, technology associate from the Maine Arts Commission, will lead a workshop about online artist portfolios. The workshop aims to familiarize attendees with common web terms and theories.
“Although the workshop will not delve into the technical nuts and bolts of web development, it will provide a firm understanding of successful web design strategies through visual examples,” a Freeport Creative Arts release states.
There will be a period for questions and critiques of participants’ portfolios. Admission costs $ 5 at the door.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
