WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Daphne Elliott and Nikkia Smith each scored 15 points while leading Hartford to a 64-52 win over Maine in an America East women’s basketball game Thursday night.

Hartford (11-8, 2-4 America East) scored all its points inside during a 13-2 run that made it 19-6 midway through the first half.

The Hawks stretched their lead to as many as 22 points in the second half.

Samantha Baranowski paced the Black Bears (4-15, 1-5) with 19 points. Ashley Roberts added 15.

UNE 63, ENDICOTT 59: Kari Pelletier converted a three-point play with 1:10 remaining to lift the Nor’easters (11-3, 6-1 Commonwealth Coast) past the Gulls (9-6, 6-2) at Biddeford.

Pelletier gave UNE a 61-59 lead, and Kelley Paradis added a short jumper with 12 seconds to play.

Margo Russell scored 14 points Beth Suggs had 12 and Paradis 10.

(3) CONNECTICUT 80, CINCINNATI 37: Tiffany Hayes scored 17 points and the Huskies (16-2, 5-1 Big East) extended their NCAA-record home winning streak to 96 consecutive games.

Dayeesha Hollins had 18 points for Cincinnati (9-9, 0-5).

(6) KENTUCKY 69, (15) GEORGIA 64: The Wildcats (17-2, 6-0 Southeastern Conference) took the lead with a 9-0 run in the second half and wore down the short-handed Bulldogs (15-4, 4-2) at Athens, Ga.

Bria Goss scored a career-high 22 points and hit two 3-pointers in the big run, including one that gave the Wildcats a 54-52 lead.

Georgia, limited by injuries, used only seven players.

(8) MARYLAND 86, WAKE FOREST 58: Tianna Hawkins scored 18 points and set a school record with 24 rebounds, leading a second-half surge that carried the Terrapins (18-1, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) past the Demon Deacons (11-7, 1-4) at College Park, Md.

(9) TENNESSEE 65, LSU 56: Meighan Simmons scored 19 points and Cierra Burdick’s tiebreaking jumper late in the second half put the Volunteers (14-4, 5-1 Southeastern Conference) ahead for good against Tigers (13-5, 4-2) at Knoxville, Tenn.

(10) OHIO STATE 82, (20) NEBRASKA 68: Tayler Hill had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Samantha Prahalis added 19 points and nine assists, and the Buckeyes (18-1, 5-1 Big Ten) beat the Cornhuskers (15-3, 4-2) at Columbus, Ohio.

(11) MIAMI 56, VIRGINIA 53: Shenise Johnson scored 20 points and hit a pair of free throws with 18.2 seconds left to lift the Hurricanes (15-3, 6-1 Atlantic Coast) past the Cavaliers (14-6, 2-4) at Charlottesville, Va.

(12) WISCONSIN-GREEN BAY 75, YOUNGSTOWN STATE 50: Lydia Bauer scored 19 points to lead the host Phoenix (16-0, 6-0 Horizon League) to their school-record 36th straight regular season victory.

(13) PURDUE 82, INDIANA 60: Antionette Howard scored a season-high 20 points and Brittany Rayburn added 14 as the visiting Boilermakers (16-3, 6-0 Big Ten) beat the Hoosiers (5-14, 0-6) for their sixth straight win.

(16) DELAWARE 65, TOWSON 46: Elena Delle Donne, the leading scorer in Division I, and Lauren Carra each scored 15 points to lead the Blue Hens (15-1, 6-0 Colonial Athletic Association) past the Tigers (11-6, 2-4) at Towson, Md.

(22) PENN STATE 71, ILLINOIS 65: Maggie Lucas scored 19 points and the visiting Nittany Lions (14-4, 4-2 Big Ten) used a series of runs to keep the Illini (6-13, 0-6) winless in conference play.

(24) NORTH CAROLINA 56, VIRGINIA TECH 37: Brittany Rountree scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half, and the visiting Tar Heels (13-5, 3-2 Atlantic Coast) overcome a sloppy effort to end a three-game losing streak.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

ENDICOTT 62, UNE 48: Erik Callo scored 14 points to lead the Gulls (11-4, 6-2 Commonwealth Coast) past the Nor’easters (1-13, 1-6) at Biddeford.

Alex Alsadi and Jarryd Rossignol each had nine points for UNE.

EMMANUEL 69, ST. JOSEPH’S 67: Isaiah Duke scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half as the Saints (6-9, 5-3 GNAC) overcame a 37-29 halftime deficit to edge the Monks (10-4, 6-2) in Standish.

Nich Jobin led the Monks with 22 points. Matt Medeiros added 14 and Chris Petzy scored 12.

(4) DUKE 91, WAKE FOREST 73: Andre Dawkins scored all 21 of his points in the first half, and the Blue Devils (16-2, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) beat the Demon Deacons (10-8, 1-3) for their 45th straight victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Ryan Kelly finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds for Duke.

(15) VIRGINIA 70, GEORGIA TECH 38: Mike Scott scored 18 points and the Cavaliers (15-2, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) routed the Yellow Jackets (8-10, 1-3) at Atlanta.
