RALEIGH, N.C. – Jay Harrison scored the winning goal with 1:30 remaining for the Carolina Hurricanes, who rallied for a 4-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday night.
Justin Faulk, Eric Staal and Patrick Dwyer also scored, and Cam Ward made 33 saves for the Hurricanes, who have won all three meetings between these teams this season.
Harrison wristed a shot from the point that went through a maze of Boston and Carolina players, deflecting off Boston defenseman Johnny Boychuk before it skidded past goalie Tim Thomas.
Staal added an empty-net goal with 1:02 left.
Milan Lucic and Patrice Bergeron had the Bruins’ goals, and David Krejci extended his point streak to 12 games. Thomas made 17 saves.
With the game tied 1-1 early in the third period, the puck made its way to Lucic near the right circle after a blocked shot. Lucic fired a snap shot past Ward’s blocker into the top left corner of the net.
Lucic has points in six of seven games.
Faulk tied it for Carolina with 6:02 remaining on a slap shot from the point that floated high and evaded Thomas’ left shoulder.

After a lackluster 3-0 home loss to Ottawa on Thursday that broke a five-game winning streak, the NHL-leading Rangers (28-10-4) got goals from grinders Mike Rupp, Brian Boyle and Derek Stepan and earned their 11th victory in 13 games.
Toronto (22-17-5), seventh in the Eastern Conference, was shut out for just the second time this season.
RED WINGS 3, BLACKHAWKS 2: Todd Bertuzzi scored his second goal at 4:21 in overtime, as Detroit won its 14th straight to match a franchise record set in 1965.
Chicago’s Jonathan Toews forced overtime with 51.7 seconds left in the third period, picking up his 23rd goal of the season.
SENATORS 3, CANADIENS 2: Daniel Alfredsson scored on Ottawa’s third shootout attempt and the Senators extended their winning streak to four with a at Montreal.
Craig Anderson, who got his first shutout of the season Thursday night at the New York Rangers, was perfect after making 33 saves in regulation and overtime.
Kyle Turris and Jason Spezza scored in the third to give Ottawa a 2-1 lead.
Max Pacioretty scored with 38.9 seconds to tie it at 2 with Carey Price pulled for an extra attacker.
SHARKS 2, BLUE JACKETS 1: Patrick Marleau scored off a rebound with 2:57 left to lead San Jose to a win at Columbus, Ohio.
ISLANDERS 4, SABRES 2: Evgeni Nabokov earned his 300th NHL win after Michael Grabner scored the go-ahead goal with three minutes left in New York’s home win.
Grabner’s 12th goal of the season, on a rebound in front in goalie Jhonas Enroth, gave the Islanders (16-20-6) their fourth win in five home games.
DEVILS 2, JETS 1: Kurtis Foster and Patrik Elias scored in a 2:58 span midway through the third period to lift New Jersey to a win at Winnipeg, Manitoba.
AVALANCHE 2, STARS 1: Paul Stastny scored the tiebeaking goal on a power play at 10:35 of the third period to help Colorado win at Dallas.

The Blue Jackets claimed left wing Colton Gillies off waivers from the Minnesota Wild. The 22-year-old Gillies had two assists and 10 penalty minutes in 37 games with Minnesota this season. He has three goals, seven assists and 30 penalty minutes in 89 career games.
