FALMOUTH – Megan Fortier scored twice on special teams as Falmouth remained unbeaten with a 2-1 hockey victory over York at Family Ice Center.
Fortier scored on a power play 3:59 into the game and added a tie-breaking short-handed goal 1:52 into the third as Falmouth improved to 12-0.
Rachel Yorke scored in the second period from Julieann Figlioli and Tori Stocks for York (9-2-2).
CHEVERUS 9, GORHAM/BONNY EAGLE 3: Katie Roy finished with three goals and two assists, and Sarah LaQuerre added two goals and an assist to lead the Stags (6-6) past the Rams (1-12) at Portland Ice Arena.
GREELY 6, YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 1: Sarah Finley had a goal and an assist in the first period to help the Rangers (10-2) beat the Clippers (3-9) at Yarmouth.
BASKETBALL
POLAND 40, YORK 39: Michaella Arsenault scored eight of her 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime as the Knights (3-7) clipped the Wildcats (7-3) at Poland.
Katrina Seeley sank a free throw to give Poland the lead in overtime. Arsenault made it a three-point lead with a layup.
Emily Campbell scored 10 points for York, including a pair of free throws to tie it in the final 10 seconds of regulation.
GREELY 43, FALMOUTH 37: Haylee Munson had five points and Jaclyn Storey scored four during a 13-2 third-quarter run as the Rangers (9-2) overcame a 22-19 halftime deficit against the Yachtsmen (6-4) in Cumberland.
WELLS 53, TRAIP ACADEMY 49: Alison Furness and Mariyah Heath each scored 14 points, and the Warriors (7-3) finished with an 18-8 run to beat the Rangers (6-4) at Wells.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 46, CAPE ELIZABETH 37: Skye Dole scored 15 points and Maggie McConkey finished with 10 as the visiting Raiders (3-7) topped the Capers (3-8).
Kayla Raftice had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Cape.
LAKE REGION 63, FREEPORT 59: Tiana-Jo Carter had 30 points to lead the Lakers (10-0) past the Falcons (5-5) at Freeport.
Nina Davenport led Freeport with 24 points.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 70, NYA 34: Haley Cote scored 19 points and hit five 3-pointers in the first half as the Patriots (4-5) downed the Panthers (4-5) at Yarmouth.
Morgan Scully led NYA with 14 points.
CARRABEC 34, WISCASSET 33: Jocelyn Jackson scored nine points for the Cobras (3-7), who edged the Wolverines (1-9) at Wiscasset.
Kayla Connors scored 25 points for Wiscasset.
OCEANSIDE 45, MCI 38: Kennadi Grover scored 22 points as the Mariners (6-4) beat the Huskies (2-8) at Rockland.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 37, ISLESBORO 22: Katelyn Towne scored 19 points to lead the Guardians (8-2) over the Eagles (3-8) at South Berwick.
