The Brunswick Democratic Town Committee will host a pasta supper fundraiser on Monday. The Martin Luther King Jr. Day event aims to support the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program and commemorate “Martin Luther King’s call to community service.”
The event, endorsed by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), will run from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m. at Pilgrim House, 9 Cleveland St.
Rachel Talbot Ross, director of the Portland NAACP, is scheduled to give a brief speech at the event.
Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted with a suggested donation of $5 for adults. Free child care will be available to attendees.
