BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Town Council will enter executive session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Brunswick Station, 16 Station Ave., to discuss tax increment financing districts related to the Midcoast Redevelopment Authority’s work at Brunswick Landing and the Brunswick Executive Airport.
At 7 p.m., the council will convene in public session. Following the roll call, pledge of allegiance and public comment period, councilors are scheduled to consider the following items:
Manager’s report
— Mid-year financial update
— Council committee updates
— “Poem in Your Pocket” Proclamation
— Update on MRRA activities
— Reminder on renewal of dog licenses
— Report on full vehicle registration service
Public hearings
— The council will hold a public hearing on an amendment to the municipal code of ordinances, Chapter 15 Traffic and Vehicles Streets, Sidewalks and Other Public Places, to clarify the authority of the parking enforcement officer, restrict parking near the Harriet Beecher Stowe School, create a no-parking zone on Noble Street near the Inn at Brunswick Station, allow moped parking in yellow striped no-parking zones on Maine Street, provide allday parking on Elm Street, and remove bus stops on Station Avenue and on Maine Street near Potter Street.
— The council will hold a public hearing on zoning ordinance amendments that would allow municipal facilities to exceed the applicable zoning district maximum impervious cover and building footprint standards by not more than 40 percent.
New business
— The council will consider an emergency amendment to the Marine Resources Ordinance to allow Sunday shellfish harvesting from Oct. 16 to April 30 of each year, and to consider setting a public hearing to adopt it on a regular basis.
— The council will consider scheduling a Feb. 6 public hearing on zoning ordinance amendments to increase the allowable number of Maine Department of Transportation official business directional signs.
— The council will consider scheduling a Feb. 6 public hearing on a tax increment financing district at Brunswick Landing.
— The council will consider scheduling a Feb. 6 public hearing on a tax increment financing district at Brunswick Executive Airport.
— The council will consider approving a letter of intent to apply for a CDBG grant for Integrated Marine Systems.
— The council will consider a resolution authorizing the town treasurer to waive foreclosure on certain real estate tax lien mortgages.
— The council will consider appointments to council subcommittees and committees.
— The council will consider whether to approve minutes for meetings on Jan. 3 and Dec. 19.
