BRUNSWICK — Ann Kimmage will begin teaching a new yoga class, “Yoga for Mobility,” on Thursday at the People Plus Center, 35 Union St.
“Ann Kimmage has designed this yoga practice especially to prevent and relieve joint stiffness and discomfort caused by arthritis or the natural process of aging,” a People Plus release states. “The class includes a series of joint freeing movements, yoga poses to enliven the joints and strengthen the supporting muscles, with a closing relaxation.”
Planned activities include stretching, flexing and deep yogic breathing. Participants are advised to wear comfortable loose fitting clothing.
Yoga for Mobility will meet for eight Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 at People Plus. The cost is $64 for People Plus members or $75 for others. A $12 drop-in fee will be charged to those who show up for single session.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
