NAPLES – Tiana Jo-Carter had 22 points and 25 rebounds Tuesday night to lead unbeaten Lake Region to a 51-37 victory against York in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl basketball game.
Kelsey Winslow added nine points and 12 boards for Lake Region (9-0). Carter scored 10 in the first quarter as the Lakers took a 12-7 lead.
Emily Campbell had 15 points for York (7-2).
DEERING 55, BIDDEFORD 28: Ella Ramonas and Marissa MacMillan each scored eight points in the first quarter as Deering (7-3) took a 24-6 lead against the Tigers (2-8) at Biddeford.
Ramonas finished with 16 points, MacMillan had 12 and Chelsea Saucier chipped in 10.
FREEPORT 43, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 41: Nina Davenport had 14 points and eight rebounds as the Falcons (5-3) held off the Raiders (2-7) at Freeport.
Leigh Wyman finished with 11 points, and Morgan Brown added 10 points with seven rebounds for Freeport.
The Falcons led 36-24 after three quarters and held off a 17-7 rally by Fryeburg in the fourth.
Skye Dole had 16 points for Fryeburg and Meggie McConkey, who hit two 3-pointers in the final minutes, scored 14 points.
MCAULEY 51, MASSABESIC 26: Alexa Coulombe had 14 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to pace the Lions (9-0) against the Mustangs (2-7) at Portland.
Alexandra Clement scored 16 points, including 10 during an 18-7 run that put McAuley up 25-10.
Victoria Lux chipped in 13 points for McAuley. Emily Schatz had 10 for Massabesic.
MT. ARARAT 51, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 41: Caitlin LaFountain made eight free throws in the final period as the Eagles (7-2) converted 16 of 17 attempts to preserve a victory against Hampden Academy (4-5) at Topsham.
Mt. Ararat entered the period with a 31-17 lead after a 14-5 third-period run.
Mallory Nelson led Mt. Ararat with 19 points; LaFountain scored 10. Jordan Maxwell had 13, Helene Sherburne 11 and Ashley Danforth 10 for the Broncos.
YARMOUTH 44, POLAND 43: Morgan Cahill and Grace O’Donnell scored 12 points each as the Clippers (3-6) edged the Knights (2-7) at Poland.
Brittina Maheux paced Poland with 12 points. Emily Bolduc chipped in 11.
SOUTH PORTLAND 39, SANFORD 34: Danica Gleason had 10 points and the Red Riots (5-4) held off the Redskins (5-4) at South Portland.
Logan Neal had six points for the Riots. Morgan Fogg scored 10 for Sanford.
South Portland led 30-23 after three quarters, but Sanford cut it to 36-34 late in the fourth before the Riots made foul shots to clinch it.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 42, WAYNFLETE 41: Abigail Dubois collected a rebound and scored at the buzzer in overtime to lift the Seagulls (4-4) over the Flyers (4-4) at Portland.
Christina Coleman scored 16 points for Old Orchard and Haley Plante added 10, including a 3-pointer to tie it at the end of regulation.
Catherine Veroneau scored 15 points and Leigh Fernandez had 12 for the Flyers, who were without the injured Martha Veroneau.
WESTBROOK 57, BONNY EAGLE 40: Paige Baldwin scored seven points in the second period and Emily Blackmore sank a 28-footer at the buzzer as the Blue Blazes (5-3) stretched a six-point lead to 15 over Bonny Eagle (3-7) at Westbrook.
Baldwin finished with 19 points and Jessica Harris 12 for Westbrook.
WELLS 33, CAPE ELIZABETH 26: The Warriors (6-3) were 12 of 15 from the line in the second half as they rallied from a 22-6 halftime deficit against the Capers (2-7) at Cape Elizabeth.
After a 3-pointer early in the third period, Wells held Cape Elizabeth scoreless until a free throw late in the fourth, finishing with a 16-1 fourth-quarter run.
Nicole Moody was 7 of 8 from the line and finished with nine points for the Warriors. Kayla Raftice had 13 for the Capers.
FALMOUTH 38, GRAY-NEW GLOU-CESTER 36: Ally Hickey hit a 12-footer with less than a minute to play to break a 36-36 tie and lift Falmouth (6-3) over the Patriots (3-5) at Gray.
The Yachtsmen trailed 25-16 at the half but opened the third period with an 11-0 run.
Hickey and Laney Evers led Falmouth with eight points each. Maria Valente had 16 for the Patriots.
GREELY 42, TRAIP ACADEMY 31: Jaclyn Storey scored 17 points to lead Greely (7-2) over Traip Academy (6-3) at Cumberland.
Balanced scoring helped Greely open a 24-17 halftime lead. Storey then scored 13 second-half points to protect the lead.
Selena Lorrey scored 20 for Traip.
WINDHAM 59, GORHAM 47: Meghan Gribbin scored her 1,000th point on her way to a 36-point game as the Eagles (6-3) beat Gorham (4-5) at Windham.
Gribbin scored 15 points during Windham’s 21-5 second quarter, leading the Eagles to a 31-13 halftime lead. Then, a minute into the third quarter, Gribbin’s jumper from the lane gave her the 1,000th and 1,001st points of her career. Gribbin finished the game with 1,015 career points.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 43, WISCASSET 22: Kristine Kahl scored 13 points and Kylie Kemp 10 to lead the Mustangs (5-5) past the Redskins (0-8) at Wiscasset.
WATERVILLE 52, LINCOLN ACADEMY 28: Ashleigh Gagne had 15 points and 14 rebounds as the Purple Panthers (4-5) beat Lincoln Academy (0-9) at Waterville.
OCEANSIDE 44, WINSLOW 34: Kennadi Grover scored 16 points to lead the Mariners (5-4) over the Black Raiders (3-6) at Winslow.
BOOTHBAY REGION 50, ST. DOMINIC 22: Meghan Smith had 14 points, Sarah Caron added 13 and Alexandra Clarke 12 for the Seahawks (3-6), who outscored the Saints (2-7) 35-14 in the second half at Boothbay Harbor.
KENNEBUNK 50, PORTLAND 47: Olivia Snyder hit three free throws in the final minute to help Kennebunk (1-9) down the Bulldogs (1-9) at Portland.
Janelle Bouchard scored 13 points, and Jennifer Davis and Alissa Fallon had 12 each for the Rams.
Samantha Dobson and Angie Reali led Portland with 10 apiece.
