BRUNSWICK — A family of five people was displaced by a fire Wednesday night that appeared to have started in a bathroom ceiling fan.

Capt. Ted Albasini said the fire at 9 Perryman Drive destroyed the family’s second floor apartment. There are four apartment units in the building.

Alternative housing for the family will be provided by the Brunswick Housing Authority.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which broke out around 9:30 p.m.
