WOOLWICH — The Woolwich Central School girls basketball team finished the regular season with an 11- 1 record and two recent wins.
Woolwich defeated Bristol and Great Salt Bay.
In the Bristol game, Woolwich came away with a 51-22 victory. On the offensive end Emma Harrington had 24 points, Madaline Suhr eight and Pearl Wilson and Jasmine Thibodeau with six points each. In the rebounding department, Harrington had 13, Thibodeau eight and Wilson six.
For Bristol Chloe Hallowell had 14 points and Heather Benner and Khloe Poland split eight. Quarter scores were 14-3, 26-9 and 43-14.
In the second game, Woolwich traveled to Great Salt Bay and drove home after a 50-34 victory.
This game was challenging as the scores were 8-8 in the first quarter and 19-16 at the half.
Woolwich came out in the third with a bit more fire and determination, taking a 35-24 lead through three quarters.
Harrington had 23 points and 20 rebounds, Suhr 12 points and Julia Blackwell four points and a strong defensive game.
For Great Salt Bay, Christine Hilton had 16 points and Lauren Hunt eight.
Woolwich goes into the Bus Line League playoffs with a No. 2 seed and will play at Chop Point on Thursday.
