NORTH YARMOUTH — The Mt. Ararat girls ice hockey team faced off against the Southern Maine Extreme at Travis Roy Arena recently and fell 5-1.
Eagles goalkeeper Ellen Wise (14 saves) allowed a goal in the first period and three goals in the second period. SoME goalie Kelsey Morton allowed a goal in the third and turned away six shots.
Playing well for Mt. Ararat were Brooke Shea, Taylor Pare, Anne McIntire, Mikaila Cloutier, Claire Briggs, Devon Hutchins, Rachel Schoenberg, Nelly and Kieley Hetherington and Caroline Daniel.
Newcomers Maggie Wessel, Carly Raymond and Hannah Zimmerman also contributed.
Raymond scored her first goal at 11:15 of the third period.
The Eagles face the Gorham Huskies at Sidney J. Watson Arena on Thursday night at 7:15 p.m.
