MONMOUTH — The Regional School Unit 2 board of directors will meet at 6 p.m. today at Monmouth Middle School. A board retreat is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the school.
According to the agenda, the board will hear an update from Monmouth principals about team initiatives.
Jonathan Henry, vice president of enrollment management for the University of Maine at Augusta, is scheduled to give a presentation on the university’s partnership with high schools. Joanne Joy and Jamye Martin intend to update the board on the Healthy Maine Partnership and Healthy Communities.
The board also is scheduled to receive an Educate overview.
Additional presentations are scheduled regarding a Monmouth Academy out-ofcountry trip to Amsterdam, Paris and London; and a Richmond grade eight class trip to Camp Kieve in Nobleboro.
The school board will hear committee reports and meet in executive session to discuss a personnel issue.
Superintendent Virgel Hammonds will announce newly appointed personnel, a recent resignation and report on the January board events calendar.
The towns of Richmond, Dresden, Hallowell, Farmingdale and Monmouth make up RSU 2.
