SOUTH PORTLAND — The Vein Healthcare Center will give free leg screenings from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

Patient visits will include a venous exam of both legs, an overview of treatment options, and an opportunity to have questions answered by Dr. Cindy Asbjornsen, a phlebology (vein health) specialist.

Asbjornsen is the founder of the Maine Phlebology Association and the Vein Healthcare Center in South Portland.

She was one of the first phlebologists in Maine to become certified by the American Board of Phlebology. Additionally, she has specialty training from leading phlebologists in caring for all levels of venous disease, including spider veins, varicose veins and venous stasis ulcers.

Though the leg screening is free, an appointment is required. Call the Vein Healthcare Center at 221-7799 to make an appointment, or visit www.veinhealthcarecenter.com.

The Vein Healthcare Center is located at 100 Foden Road, Suite 307, South Portland.
