AUGUSTA — The U.S. Small Business Administration recently recognized Herbert Thomas of Northeast Harbor for his 24 years of service to the SBA.
According to a news release, Thomas is retiring from his position as senior area manager for the SBA in Bangor.
Maurice Dubé, SBA district director for Maine, said, “Herb has demonstrated a commitment to service that is truly unsurpassed. From serving our country in the Army Security Agency, to the Peace Corps, to 24 years at the SBA, Herb epitomizes selfless service.”
“While Herb’s retirement is well-deserved, we will certainly miss his skills, leadership and personable style,” continued Dubé.
