WESTPORT ISLAND
A Westport Island man lost control of his vehicle after hitting black ice Sunday, skidding off the road and striking nearby ledges.
According to a report from Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett, Casey Q. Cummings, 21, was traveling southbound along Main Road on Westport Island in a 2003 Honda CRV when he lost control and skidded off the roadway.
The report does not indicate that Cummings suffered any major injuries as a result of the crash.
