Forward Greg Smith had 18 points and 11 rebounds in his Vipers’ debut that night. Forward Stanley Asumnu leads Rio Grande with 19.0 points per game while Tyren Johnson is averaging 18.3.
RED CLAWS NOTES: Ricky Davis, the 12-year NBA vet, makes his home debut for the Red Claws today. He scored six points in just under 25 minutes on Thursday, hitting 3 of 8 shots. Also back at home for the Claws are guards Kenny Hayes and Durrell Summers, both back from NBA training camps. Hayes is second on the team with 19.7 points per game, behind Courtney Pigram (21 points) and ahead of Paul Harris (18.0). Maine has lost three of its last four games.
