BELFAST — Morse scored 30 second-half points in a 40-25 victory over Belfast in high school jayvee girls basketball action on Thursday.
The teams were tied 10-10 at the half, but the Shipbuilders jumped ahead 22-16 after three quarters and pulled away in the fourth.
Sophie Sreden and Jacelyn McNeill each had 10 points for Morse (2-3), while Cordelia Leeman added nine points. The Shipbuilders were five of 17 from the foul line. Alli Barter stood out on defense.
Belfast was eight of 17 at the line and was led on the scoreboard by Kristine Mehurren with six points.
