BATH — The Planning Board will meet Tuesday evening to consider, among other items, approving a site plan application submitted by Hyde School to build a new $3 million dormitory to replace a 1970s-era residence hall on the private school’s High Street campus.

Planning Board members continued discussion of the item from a Nov. 15 meeting to allow additional time for city and school officials to work out details of a joint project to construct stormwater improvements.

On Wednesday, City Planner Andrew Deci said final documents related to the agreement were being signed.

The board also will consider a request for site plan and subdivision amendments submitted by 53- 57 Allen Ave., LLC, for 6 Oak Grove Ave.

Prior to its regular meeting, the board will hold a workshop at 5 p.m. to discuss how to resolve a discrepancy in contract zoning and comprehensive plan language.

Deci said Wednesday that during the process in which the City Council adopted contract zoning in the Plant Home Zoning District, a discrepancy between density allowed in the comprehensive plan and the district approved a year and a half ago was discovered.

The conflict makes the density unenforceable, according to a memo from Deci to the board.

Possible solutions include amending the ordinance or the comprehensive plan, for consideration at the board’s meeting in February. Members also will discuss what level of public input is necessary, according to the memo.

The board’s business meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, following the 5 p.m. workshop, also at City Hall.
