YARMOUTH – Breanna Rivard and Jenna Roy scored Wednesday to lead Biddeford to a 2-1 victory against Yarmouth/Freeport in a schoolgirl hockey game at Travis Roy Arena.

Rivard put the Tigers (2-6) ahead with 35 seconds left in the first period and Roy extended it at 1:47 of the third. Emily Brassley made 24 saves for Biddeford.

Suzanne Driscoll scored for Yarmouth/Freeport (2-5) with 7:37 remaining. Hannah Williams had 22 saves.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

MEDOMAK VALLEY 51, WINSLOW 43: Alanna Vose scored 13 of her 27 points in the fourth quarter as Medomak Valley (4-2) used a 17-9 run to beat Winslow (3-3) at Waldoboro.

Mallory Conary added 10 points for the Panthers, who were 8 of 9 from the line in the fourth.

Jordyn Pomerleau scored 12 points for the Black Raiders. Elizabeth Ferry had 10.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 40, CARRABEC 33: Kylie Kemp had 11 points as the Mustangs (3-2) beat the Cobras (1-4) at North Anson.

Colby Wilson added 10 points for Monmouth.

Emma Pluntke had six points and 10 rebounds, and Macy Andrews added nine points and seven rebounds for Carrabec. Jocelyn Jackson had 11 points.

NOKOMIS 65, MT. VIEW 21: Emilee Reynolds had 16 points for the Warriors at Thorndike.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 66, WINSLOW 42: Isaac Greenrose had 14 points as the Panthers (5-1) beat the Black Raiders (3-3) at Winslow.

Jonathan Hendrickson added 11 points for Medomak Valley.

Justin Murray had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists for Winslow.

NOKOMIS 57, MT. VIEW 55: Ethan Pearl had 21 points as the Warriors beat the Mustangs (2-3) at Newport.

Ruel Libby added nine points, and Spencer Hartsgrove and Drew Wing each had eight.

Ryan St. Claire had 15 points and Bobby Porter 11 for Mt. View.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

SKOWHEGAN 2, GARDINER 1: Tyler Savage’s third-period goal from Ryal Gove powered the Indians (3-1-1) over the Tigers (2-3) at Winslow.

Trey Michonski gave Skowhegan a 1-0 lead in the first period from Gove and Jake Johnson. The Tigers tied it on a third-period goal by Seth Wing from Josh Moore.

Brad Moore made 16 saves Gardiner. Sam Edmondson had 28 for Skowhegan.

MESSALONSKEE 12, LAWRENCE 0: Sam Dexter scored five goals to lead the Eagles (3-1) over Lawrence (2-4) at Winslow.

Jake Dexter added two goals for Messalonskee.
