Auburn police responded to the Minot Avenue Rite-Aid at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report that a man had given pharmacy staff a note demanding drugs. The man was given drugs and he fled.

Witnesses provided a good description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.

The suspect was stopped by police in Mechanic Falls a short time later.

Police say 47-year-old Jason Letourneau was arrested and charged with robbery. He is being held at the Androscoggin County jail.

All of the drugs stolen in the robbery were recovered.
