BRUNSWICK
A 19- year- old Brunswick man has been indicted Dec. 8 on five counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs after police say they bought pills from him on two occasions in drug-free zones.
Zachary Peavey, 19, was indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury on two counts of Class A aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, two counts of Class B aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, one count of Class C aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and one count of misdemeanor trafficking in scheduled drugs.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, working with the Brunswick Police Department, arrested Peavey in June 2011 after they allegedly purchased pills from him within 1,000 feet of St. John’s Catholic School on Pleasant Street and another drug-free zone, Brunswick Police Detective Rich Cutliffe said Thursday. Cutliffe declined to name the second location.
