BRUNSWICK — Blake Bodwell’s power-play goal tied the game midway through the third period as the Brunswick High School boys basketball team skated to a 3-3 Eastern A deadlock with Edward Little on Monday at Sidney J. Watson Arena.
The Dragons, who are 0-2-1 and visit Waterville in the Capital City Classic this upcoming Monday at 11 a.m., scored with the man advantage three times. Tyler Niven, assisted by Kyle Woodruff, staked Brunswick to a 1- 0 lead, and Ryan Maciejewski tied the game 2-2 in the second period off an assist each from Matt Brooks and Dylan Towle.
“We were able to dig deep to get a tie,” said Brunswick coach Mike Routhier.
Drew LoPardo had two goals for Edward Little (1-1-1) and Brandon Pelletier added a tally, while goaltender Alan Nelson had 31 stops.
Jason Blier turned aside 33 shots for Brunswick in his first start of the season.
