FOR THE NINTH YEAR IN A ROW, members of the Nelson Conley Post 66, Lisbon Falls, met in the beginning of November to pack and ship Christmas boxes to U.S. military service members deployed around the world. The post sent packages to Marines and sailors deployed in Afghanistan and Guantanamo, Cuba. Members donated more than $900, and townspeople chipped in more money for the project, according to Wrede.
