TOPSHAM — American Legion Post 202 will offer free tutoring to all veterans who want to take the SAT test.
Robert Lemont, post commander, said a former teacher contacted him to express interest in tutoring any veteran who is interested in preparing for the SAT test, which many colleges use when considering applicants.
The post will donate its hall for the tutoring sessions, which Lemont said will probably consist of about four veterans at a time. If enough veterans express interest, the tutoring sessions are slated to start later in the spring.
Any veteran who is interested can contact Robert Lemont at home, 725-2347; on his cell phone at 449-7527; or at American Legion Post 202 at 729-9870.
