BOWDOINHAM
The Town Landing Restaurant hosts this year’s Bowdoinham Giving Tree.
According to an announcement about the annual gift assistance program, “Together with the town of Bowdoinham, employees at the town office, and the generosity of the community, The Giving Tree will help those families who are struggling and in need.
“For those looking for assistance this upcoming Christmas season, please contact the town office at 666-5531 to submit your information and children’s wish list. We are also looking to help the elderly who are struggling this upcoming winter.”
All requests should be made as soon as possible. Tags are available on the giving tree, and the program’s volunteers ask that donors return the unwrapped gift listed with the tag to either The Town Landing restaurant or the town office no later than Dec. 16. This will allow volunteers time to separate and deliver all the gifts to the families before the holiday.
For more information, call Pam Ross at the town office at 666-5531 or Lynn Spiro at The Town Landing at 666-3872.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
