WOOLWICH
Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 2:32 p.m. Friday on Route 1.
Chief Deputy Brett Strout said Sarah Flint, 31, of P.O. Box 434, Warren, was driving a 2002 Volkswagen north on Route 1. Flint apparently slowed down to make a left turn when the driver of a vehicle behind her, Marion Torrey, 77, of 36 Bedford St., Bath, driving 2002 Kia, struck Flint’s car from behind.
Flint was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. Young children in Flint’s car were not injured and went with relatives, Strout said.
No charges had been filed as of this morning, according to Strout.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
