SANFORD — Two Sanford men are being held at York County Jail on $50,000 cash bail after police and drug agents arrested them Monday on drug charges.
Maine Drug Enforce-ment agents and Sanford Police arrested Justin MacLean, 27, and Jason Nolan, 32, and allegedly seized about $15,000 worth of cocaine after a search of MacLean’s car.
Both have been charged with aggravated trafficking in cocaine, said Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
MDEA Supervisor Steve Borst said undercover agents allegedly purchased cocaine from Nolan in recent days at his home on Brook Street.
On Monday, agents and Sanford Police stopped a vehicle driven by MacLean leaving Nolan’s residence and allegedly found nearly five ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine in his vehicle. Agents then took Nolan into custody at his home.
McCausland said MacLean also lives in Haverhill, Mass., and police alleged he is transporting drugs to Sanford.
Seized from Nolan’s home were a small amount of cocaine, a scale and packaging material.
McCausland said both men are scheduled to appear at York County Superior Court on Dec. 14.
Borst said Nolan is suspected of selling cocaine in Sanford over the past year.
