Honors and Awards

Bowdoin College, Brunswick:The college recently held its annual Sarah and James Bowdoin Day and recognized the following area students for excellence in scholarship: Katherine Kinkel, Samuel Turner, Aiden Reis, and Mark Richter, all of Brunswick; Caroline Blake, Raymond; Charles Boyle, China Village; Anna Chase, Dixfield; Hannah DeBlois, Newcastle; Alex Doering, Windham; Joseph Durgin, Shapleigh; Katherine Harmon, Auburn; Lindsey MacLeod and Nathan Mecray, both from Cumberland; Molly Ridley, Buxton; Abishag Suresh, Cumberland Center; Parker Towle, South Berwick; John Visentin, Cumberland Foreside; Samuel York, Freeport.

Kinkel was also awarded the Sarah and James Bowdoin Book Award for having earned a 4.0 GPA.

Ithaca, N.Y., College: Lucia Brown of Kittery Point, an international communications major in the college’s Roy H. Park Park School of Communication, has been inducted into the Oracle Honor Society.
