WINDHAM – Election results for Windham are in.
Longtime school board member Kate Brix won re-election, gaining 2,165 votes to take one of two three-year terms, along with Dawn Perkins, who received 2,595 votes. Bethany Ann Davis was third with 1,767.
In the Town Council races, Tommy Gleason beat Patrick Corey, 2,036 to 1,801, to take a three-year at-large seat. David Nadeau (East District, three-year term) and Dennis Welch (at-large, one-year term) won easily against write-in candidates Ryan McDonald and John Carlberg Jr.
Longtime Town Clerk Linda Morrell was unopposed for re-election.
Windham voters supported yes on Question 1 (People’s Veto, same-day voter registration), 2,599 to 1,954; yes on Question 2 (Biddeford/Washington County racinos), 2,433 to 2, 119; no on Question 3 (Lewiston casino), 1,805 to 2,748; and yes on the constitutional amendment to redistricting, Question 4, 2,330 to 1,974.
Windham voters went against the Cumberland County Civic Center bond question, with 2,292 no votes and 2,170 yes votes.
