BIDDEFORD — Biddeford Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out on a porch at 80 Bacon St. this afternoon.

Deputy Fire Chief Scott Gagne said the porch is attached to a vacant, three-story apartment building.

The building did not sustain any significant damage but Gagne said the cause remains under investigation.

The fire was reported at 4:18 p.m. Firefighters cleared the scene around 5 p.m.
