PORTLAND — The Riverton branch of the Portland Public Library will reopen Wednesday after a three-week closure for renovations.

The Friends of the Portland Public Library will sponsor an open house Thursday, Aug. 25, from 5-8 p.m. to show off the updated space, which includes rearranged stacks, a new floor plan and increased programming and seating space for children, teens and adults.

The Riverton branch, at 1600 Forest Ave., in the same building as the Riverton School and Community Center, is one of four branches of the Portland Public Library.
