• Portland artist Toni Wolf shows recent work in “Skateboards and Storyboard,” on view through September at Trinket and Fern, 172 Middle St., Portland.

The exhibition includes original hand-painted skateboards from Wolf’s new line called Honeyslide, as well as charcoal drawings from “Car Dealer’s Daughter,” a graphic novel she is writing. The decks are bold and graphic, with sharp color and detail.

“Car Dealer’s Daughter” is a kick-in-the-gut story about the last five months of her father’s battle with cancer, made accessible through illustrations in storyboard fashion.

•  At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the group Naia performs at Saco River Grange Hall, 29 Salmon Falls Rd., Bar Mills. Naia includes flutist Nicole Rabata and harpist Danielle Langord. They perform traditional Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, Brittany and Quebec, blending delicate melodies with upbeat dance tunes.

Both are faculty at Colby College, and they perform throughout the United States and Europe. Owen Marshall joins them on guitar and bouzouki. Admission is $15; $13 for students and seniors. Ages 12 and younger get in free. Call 929-6472.
