BIDDEFORD — Jon Dupee homered in the fourth inning to break a 3-3 tie as Fayette-Staples defeated Saco & Biddeford Savings/Biddeford Savings 4-3 Tuesday in an American Legion baseball game.

Sam Canales had two hits, including a two-run triple in the third for Fayette-Staples (13-2).

Bobby Cote had three hits and Tyler Audie hit a two-run homer in the first inning for SBS/BS (11-4).

 

LIBBY-MITCHELL 5, MORRILL POST 3: Ryan Mancini struck out five in a five-hitter and drove in two runs to lead Libby Mitchell (8-5) past Morrill Post (7-6) at Scarborough.

Brendan Hall chipped in an RBI single for Libby-Mitchell.

Ryan Curit and Zach Horton had RBI singles for Morrill Post.

 

YORK/WELLS 7, BONANZA 5: Louis DiTomasso broke a 3-3 tie with a grand slam in the sixth inning to lift York/Wells Post 56 (10-5) over Bonanza of Sanford (7-8) at York.

Alex Mercurio had a two-run single for York/Wells in the fourth inning.

Abbott MacKay had three hits for Bonanza.

SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS SWEEPS ANDREWS: Saco-Biddeford Savings (11-1) had 22 hits en route to 7-5 and 8-2 wins over Andrews Post (9-5) at Westbrook.

Sam Stauble had three hits, two RBI and two runs scored to pace Saco-Biddeford Savings in the opener Matt Weimer.

Zach Bean pitched a seven-hitter in the second game. Sean Murphy had three hits and two RBI.

 

STAPLES CROSSING 10, POST 91 TITANS 4: Alex McLean had two triples and scored four runs to help Staples Crossing (5-10) down Post 91 (1-14) at South Berwick.

Paddy Murphy had a single, a triple and an RBI for Post 91.

MASSABESIC, KENNEBUNK SPLIT: Taylor Landry homered twice for five RBI and allowed one hit in five innings as Kennebunk (8-7) took an 11-0 mercy-rule win in the opener at Kennebunk.

Casey Nava had three hits and scored three times as Massabesic (5-10) won Game 2, 8-4.

FIRST TITLE SWEEPS FALMOUTH: Ryan Casale pitched a five-hitter in a 7-3 win in the first game, then paired with Cam Mullen for a two-hitter in a 7-2 second-game victory as First Title (9-4) swept Falmouth (4-10) at Portland.

Casale pitched seven innings in the opener, then allowed one hit while pitching the first five innings of Game 2.

Nic Lops and Louie DiStasio each had two hits and two RBI in the opener. Lops homered and tripled in the second game.

NOVA SEAFOOD 13, CUMBERLAND 3: Sam Balzano and Nick DiBiase each scored three runs and Nick Colucci, Kyle Danielson and Matt Bevilacqua each drove in two for Nova Seafood (6-10) at Cumberland.

Jonah Normandeau had two hits for Cumberland (3-10).

JUNIOR LEGION

FIRST TITLE 8, ALL SPORTS PRINTING 0: Brad Carney allowed a second-inning bloop single by Brad Morin and struck out eight as First Title (4-5) shut out All Sports Printing (1-9) in Gorham.

CAPE ELIZABETH 10, YARMOUTH 5: Three runners scored on Max Gore’s infield single and an error as Cape Elizabeth (8-3) scored five runs in the sixth against Yarmouth (8-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

 

KENNEBUNK 9, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Winning pitcher Logan Bement had two hits as Kennebunk (9-1) won at South Portland (1-9).

 

SEACOAST LAW AND TITLE 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Aaron Duncanson and Cale Bolig combined on a two-hitter for visiting Seacoast Law and Title (8-1) against Gray-New Gloucester (5-7).

FAYETTE-STAPLES: 10, LEWISTON 8: Fayette-Staples (7-6) scored eight runs in the first inning and held off Lewiston (7-3) at Saco.

Casey Williams and Carl Pendleton each drove in two runs for Fayette-Staples.

RON BEAULIEU 2, AERO HEATING AND VENTILATING 0: Dave Longley and Chris Bryant combined on a three-hitter and David Nieves had two hits and scored a run for Ron Beaulieu & Co. at Standish.
