OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Marcus Way hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning that broke a tie and lifted the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide to a 4-2 victory against the Laconia Muskrats in a New England Collegiate Baseball League game Tuesday night at The Ballpark.
Way’s homer for the Raging Tide (4-15) came with two outs and broke a 2-2 tie against the Muskrats (7-11).
Way also doubled and finished with three RBI. James Roche added an RBI triple and scored twice for the Raging Tide.
MAINERS 3, BAY SOX 2: Ryan Coppinger hit a two-run single in the first inning to lead Sanford (9-9) over the Bay Sox (7-7) at New Bedford, Mass.
Marlon Calbi scored the eventual winning run in the sixth on an error.
Starter Eric Stevens of Sanford recorded five strikouts and allowed two runs. Jason Patten got the win, striking out five in 21/3 scoreless innings of relief.
AMERICAN LEGION
RAMSDELL-ROGERS 18, NOBLE 5: Tanner Chase went 4 for 4 with seven runs batted in as York/Wells Ramsdell-Rogers (5-1) cruised past Noble Post 79, 87 and 214 (1-10) at North Berwick.
Paul McDonough added six RBI with three hits, and Alexander Mercurio scored five runs for Ramsdell-Rogers.
KENNEBUNK 17, BONANZA OF SANFORD 15: Taylor Landry had three hits and earned a save as visiting Kennebunk (5-4) defeated Bonanza of Sanford (4-7).
Bonanza went ahead 13-4 with a 13-run second inning, then Kennebunk tied it with a nine-run third, and two in the fourth and fifth.
Nick Emmons and Tom Snow each had three hits for Kennebunk. Cody Mooney countered with three hits for Bonanza.
MOODY’S COLLISION 4, MORRILL POST 1: Tom Hazelton pitched a four-hitter with three strikeouts and one walk to lead Moody’s Collision (4-6) at Gorham.
Damon Wallace drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning that gave Moody’s a 2-1 lead.
Steven Broy and Evan Spencer doubled for Moody’s. Broy drove in one run and Spencer scored once.
Morrill Post starter Matt DiBiase scattered seven hits in a complete game.
SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS/BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 11, STAPLES CROSSING 1: Patrick Wilson struck out nine and walked one in a six-hitter to lead Saco-Biddeford Savings/Biddeford Savings (7-2) to a six-inning victory against Staples Crossing at Biddeford.
Taylor Reuillard had a pair of hits and drove in three runs for Saco-Biddeford Savings/Biddeford Savings, and Nick LeBlond ended the game with a two-run double with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Maxwell McCoomb had three hits and an RBI for Staples Crossing.
LIBBY-MITCHELL 4, FALMOUTH 3: Ryan Mancini singled home Joe Viola with two outs in the seventh inning to lift Libby-Mitchell (4-5) over Falmouth (2-7) at Scarborough.
Andrew Proctor had two hits for Falmouth.
ANDREWS POST 13, NOVA SEAFOOD 2: Jon DiBiase finished with four hits, four RBI and two runs to lead Andrews Post (8-1) past Nova Seafood (4-4) in five innings at Deering High in Portland.
Caleb Frazier struck out five and didn’t allow a walk in a two-hitter for Andrews.
JUNIOR LEGION
CAPE ELIZABETH 2, FIRST TITLE OF MAINE 0: Julian Pelzer scattered two hits over six shutout innings to lift Cape Elizabeth (5-2) at Portland.
Seth Dobieski and Matthew Pierce each scored on fielder’s choices in the fifth inning for Cape Elizabeth.
Dobieski finished with a single and a double.
FREEPORT 10, FALMOUTH 6: Brady Davis had three RBI, including a two-run double in the third inning, to lead visiting Freeport (5-4) over Falmouth (1-7).
Nicholas Cartmell drove in two with a double and Nicholas Nelsonwood scored twice with an RBI for Freeport.
Connor MacDowell of Falmouth hit a three-run homer in a six-run fourth.
