BIDDEFORD — Weekend festivals featuring arts, culture and a lot of fun are under way in Biddeford and Saco.

The revamped La Kermesse Franco-Americaine Festival in Biddeford, which opened Friday and runs through Sunday, is in its 29th year. The longest-running event of the weekend is the Saco Sidewalk Arts Festival, which is being held for the 41st year today.

The Journal Tribune says a new event is the Biddeford ArtWalk’s BiddeFair Arts & Crafts Festival today.

A trolley that will travel through Biddeford and Saco’s downtowns today – with stops near each event – will make it easier for everyone to see sights of the festivals.

Fireworks will be held tonight.
