The suspect in a robbery earlier this month at Family Dollar in Westbrook was arrested this morning in Buxton.

Officers from Buxton and Gorham arrested Jason A. Gardiner, 32, according to Westbrook police, who Thursday put out a call for the public’s help in finding him.

Westbrook police Lt. Michael Nugent said information generated from the department’s press release and Facebook posting led to the arrest.

Gardiner was wanted on charges of robbery, a felony, and theft. Gardiner is the suspect in a May 14 robbery of Family Dollar on Main Street and theft of cash from a charity jar at Dunkin Donuts, also on Main Street in Westbrook.
