WATERBORO – Jordan Levesque had four goals and an assist Thursday to lead Massabesic to a 9-6 victory against Windham in a schoolboy lacrosse opener.
Jake Desrosiers added three goals and an assist, Patrick Wyman had three assists, and Matt Roberts and Brandon Colby also scored for Massabesic.
Tyler Fournier made 10 saves for the win.
Pat Pearson, Daniel St. Peter and Keegan Brennan each had two goals for Windham.
BIDDEFORD 10, NOBLE 9: Mykle Ricker had four goals to lead the Tigers (1-1) over the Knights (0-1) at Biddeford.
The Tigers went ahead 5-1 in the first quarter, but Noble rallied for six second-half goals, including three by Jesse Cotty.
GORHAM 10, WESTBROOK 3: Aaron Laporte had three goals and two assists, and Nate Holloran stopped 27 shots as the Rams (1-1) defeated the Blue Blazes (0-1) at Westbrook.
Kyle Nielsen had two goals and an assist, and Tyler Rankin added two goals for Gorham, which outscored Westbrook 8-1 in the second half.
Kevin L’Heureux made 17 saves for the Blue Blazes.
SOFTBALL
OXFORD HILLS 15, MORSE 0: Heather Verrier pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts and hit three singles for the Vikings, who won in five innings at South Paris.
Breanna Martin had a double and two singles, Mariah Martin hit two doubles and Ashley West added two singles for the Vikings, who got four runs in the first inning, five in the second and four in the fourth. Hanna Russell doubled for Morse.
ERSKINE ACADEMY 9, MT. ARARAT 2: Sara Morse pitched a two-hitter with 15 strikeouts as Erskine Academy (1-0) handled Mt. Ararat (1-1) at Topsham.
