AUGUSTA — Maine utilities say they’re nearly caught up restoring power to thousands of customers who lost service as a result of Sunday’s wind and rain storm.
Central Maine Power says only 60 customers are without service, and Bangor Hydro-Electric Co.’s total is down to 274.
At the storm’s peak, about 24,000 customers of the two utilities were without power Sunday.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service posted a flood warning for the Kennebec River in Augusta for this morning due to the weekend’s heavy rainfall.
