It wasn’t easy being green in Maine on Saturday, thanks to cold and windy weather, but that didn’t stop EcoDay festivities at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm.

The fun went on mostly as planned, except for some of the beach and water events.

The event’s “healthy planet, healthy you” theme ran through the many activities and demonstrations of eco-friendly products and sports offered by dozens of local businesses and organizations.

The crowd that turned out also was treated to the music of Velourosaurus, kites flown by the Nor’Easters Kite Club and the beautiful research reserve in Wells that hosted the event.
