BRUNSWICK – A three-alarm fire severely damaged a three-story apartment building this afternoon and sent three occupants to the hospital because of smoke inhalation.
Two adults and a child were transported by ambulance but were not seriously injured, according to Brunswick police.
Firefighters from Brunswick and a number of surrounding towns worked to control the fire at 16 Oak St. for several hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The fire, which was reported at 3:40 p.m., also disrupted traffic in the area for several hours Friday.
