Mario West signed a 10-day contract with the New Jersey Nets, the team announced Thursday.
West played in 53 games over two seasons with the Maine Red Claws in the NBA Development League. He asked to be waived on March 23 so he could attend to an ill family member in Atlanta.
The Red Claws retained the rights to West if he seeks to return to the D-League. He averaged 13.7 points and 3.1 assists a game this season with Maine.
West also has played in 156 games over three seasons with the Atlanta Hawks.
