FREEPORT — Students and staff have been evacuated from Freeport High School following a natural gas leak.

A leak from a stove was detected at 12:20 p.m. by workers who were at the high school.

Students and faculty have been moved to the Freeport Middle School in Kendall Lane while workers make repairs, which are not expected to be lengthy.

No one was hurt, said Freeport Police Lt. Susan Nourse.
