YORK — York’s Nicole Taylor won the Gatorade Maine Girls’ Basketball Player of the Year Award for the second consecutive year.

The 6-foot senior center averaged 16 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.1 assists for the Wildcats, who advanced to the Western Class B finals. She finished with a school-record 1,442 points.

Taylor will attend the University of Vermont. She carries a 92.1 average in the classroom.
