Gorham’s Guimond will attend New Haven

Shelbi Guimond, a senior midfielder from Gorham High, has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at the University of New Haven.

“Shelbi is a strong player, both offensively and defensively,” Gorham Coach Jeanne Zarrilli said. “She has presence on the field, and she is really good in the air. She knows when to play defense, and she knows when to make the attacking run.”

In four seasons at Gorham, Guimond helped the Rams reach the Western Class A final three times.

New Haven, a Division II school, is a member of the Northeast-10 Conference.
