Winter Cache Project moves operations to west Falmouth

When the 2011 growing season starts, the Winter Cache Project will be cultivating a new plot of land. The organization, which aims to increase community food security and reduce its members’ dependence on industrial agriculture, has moved its operations to Winslow Farm in west Falmouth.

Previously, the organization grew its crops at Pleasant Valley Acres in Cumberland.

Winslow Farm is two miles from the bus line to Portland, where many of the group’s members live. The organization is gearing up for its early-season work parties, which, weather permitting, may begin in March.

For more information about the organization, visit www.wintercache.com.
